Periods 1, 4, 7, 8: Writing Expressions and Equations
Period 3: Overview of Expressions/Equations Domain from Study Island
Bellwork and Classwork for Periods 1, 4, 7, 8:

You will need your packet and pencil.
Study the Core of Knowledge on Study Guide 6-4 together. (It is in your packet.) Complete and check questions 1-12.
Work independently on Practice 6-4. (Miss Jaeb will give this paper to you. Remember, she was once my student. Be sweet to her!!!!)
Complete Practice 6-4 for homework. This is due on Monday.
Have you completed Wednesday's homework? Solve for the variable (5 steps) and check (4 steps) for questions 4, 6, and 12 on Study Guide 6-3. Explain each step. Start each sentence with a verb.
Period 3:
Choose your seat. You will need your planner, pencil and binder. All other materials belong on the floor.
Work independently to understand the Core of Knowledge and examples in the Study Island Expressions and Equations packet. (Miss Jaeb has these packets. She will collect them at the end of the period.) Working with your elbow buddy part of the time is a possibility if Miss Jaeb feels this is a good strategy. Taking notes is optional. This opportunity will give you an overview of the skills in this domain. It will also prepare you for future lessons and the Practice Test.
Algebra/Exponents 24 GAME? This is up to you and Miss Jaeb. I know you can convince a cow that it is a horse.
